My husband and I had our home inspection and we are absolutely satisfied with the service we received from Chris. He talked us through everything he did and why. He got up in the attic and even down into the dirty crawlspace. We definitely made the right decision choosing CBC for our inspection. The report was fantastic with pictures of everything and it was easy to read and understand. There were a lot of issues we would not have known about or how to possibly fix without him.

I can't imagine how much Chris Currins of CBC Home Inspections saved me. At least 10 times what I paid him. Without dramatizing too much, it could be that he saved my life. He spotted an old overloaded electric board that already had a national reputation for causing fires. The owners of the condo, more than 40 years old in a turn-of-the-20th-century building, weren't as pleased as I was. Upon meeting me, one said he was surprised I didn't have horns and a tail because I had been so thorough in demanding that electrical and plumbing problems be corrected before I handed over the cash. I had just gone down the list from the CBC Home Inspections. I have never met Chris, talked to him only a couple of times by phone. Not living in the area, I found him online, liked the looks of his website and was totally impressed with how fast he always got back to me by email and not just to sign me up. I felt he looked after me as he would family.

Chris provided us with a very thorough and professional home inspection. His comprehensive report included photographs highlighting any issues that needed to be addressed, and included a detailed explanation of what the problem was, along with recommendations of corrective actions to remedy the issues. He even provided links within the report that would take us directly to more information on the web pertinent to the subject. Signing the inspection agreement and paying for the service online couldn't have been any easier, and, as already mentioned, the outstanding report was emailed directly to me, once complete. Following the report, Chris was eager to offer his continued support, if we had any further questions, and even offered to help us out a year down the road if an issue arose regarding the property, at no additional charge. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the report, the entire experience was remarkable. Thank you, Chris!

Chris recently did a home inspection for my husband and I and did a wonderful job! The whole process of scheduling our inspection, having the inspection done, and getting the inspection results report was quick and effortless. Chris was very professional and easy to work with. The inspection and report that he did for us was thorough and very informative. Chris really knows his stuff and doesn't cut any corners on his inspections. He does a great job of explaining any issues that he finds and he includes digital photographs of any problem area in his reports. Hi Chris, I'm sorry for the delay in my reply; I've had trouble with my computer at home and really only get to read email at work. Thank you for the thorough inspection and for letting me make a nuciance of myself! I closed on the house on November 25'th and hope to be settled in time to decorate for Christmas. Two city inspectors came out to check the main beam in the basement. One didn't say too much about it, but the other inspector said it looked undersized to him. I'm planning on getting some estimates as well as reading as much as I can about this sort of thing. We'll see how it goes!

Everything has gone well. The inspection uncovered some serious concerns, such as the hidden exposed wiring and specific roof issues, that we were able to have addressed.

• Was the report easy to read and understand? Too much, too little information? We were happy with the detail provided. The diagrams helped us to understand the problems significantly.

• Do you feel I covered everything you were specifically concerned with and clearly explaining all defects with enough detail? Yes.

Overall were you completely satisfied with the inspection, my ability, and the final report? Indeed, we are completely satisfied.

• If you have any questions or comments regarding anything you feel I did right, or wrong, please feel free to comment and let me know. Again, we felt it was quite thorough, and saved us time and headaches by allowing us to present serious problems before closing and before the occupancy inspection.

Hey Chris, I found the report to be exceptionally detailed. I have done much research on the items listed in your report and this has been very helpful in determining the type of work that would need to be done to the property and what it's current condition is.

I do have an additional question on the knob and tube wiring. What would be your guesstimate for the amount the knob and tube wiring use versus up to date wiring? I was hoping the knob and tube use was minimal since the wiring has just recently been redone.
